Normal.

Society taught me being normal is more worthy than being happy.

people usually donot care when you aren’t happy or when you are hunting for happiness. But sure eveyone has something or the other to say when you change your behavior from being normal.

  1. When I finally realised this after four decades on the planet, I felt really cheated. But, honestly, I’m the one who robbed myself. It was I who had given their words too much credence after all. You really hit the nail on the head here.

  2. And I know first hand on the rewards you can get if you act “normal.” I tried that four years ago, it is not worth it. I’m happy nowadays to not be “normal.” Although, there are people out there when care if you are happy or not. The key is to not try to find those people or attempt to persade people to be that person. I have a few friends who always care about me and deal with my odd, unique, cynical personality with out complaints. I only have a few, but they care and are amazing and that is enough. One I even have came to love in the past year and a half. I blog about him a lot. I love him, not like. You can find support something’s, but in times you don’t don’t have that luxury;you have to be strong. You’re happiness is far more important that society. You don’t need to be a completely perfect member of society. You be you, you do what you want. Weird is better than “normal.” Normal is boring, normal is the same as everyone else, normal is boring, normal isn’t that exciting, normal doesn’t have to be you or a weight on your shoulders, weighing you down until give up and just try to be normal. Never stop being yourself. Being happy doesn’t always mean you have to be normal to do so. Your happiness matters. Everyone liking you does not. And screw society! Society sucks! And you don’t have to as well! Never stop being you. Never give up on happiness. It will come back. Whether if it’s in 15 minutes or 15 years.

  3. Depressing, but true. I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed this. I’m currently in high school, and it’s extremely horrible there. But I hope you still be yourself. You are amazing!

  4. What is normal? You raised a very important question in your blog. If normalcy takes up too broad a space, then it becomes meaningless, since most of us would be normal. Thank you for your insight and have a Happy New Year!

  5. Very true, sometimes we have to live for ourselves than others. No one will pick up the pieces when you are hurt or down so they don’t certainly have the right to tell you when you stray from the status quo.
